Record and organize notes with the Notebook

Benchling's Notebook has an intuitive user interface that makes recording notes and results easy. 

Create Notebook entries

Your Notebook data is stored within individual notebook entries. We recommend writing one entry per experiment, and storing all related entries within a project or folder.

There are a couple of ways to create entries:

• You can quickly create individual entries.

• To help standardize note taking, you can also create entries from templates. But first, you'll need to create those entry templates.

Format your entries

Get comfortable with formatting in Benchling! Here are some good places to start:

Add rich data

To add and organize data, you can easily: 

• Insert file attachments

• Use tables in Notebook entries, which support formulas.

Collaborate
