Resolve the "CSRF Validation Failed" error message.

Benchling implements a set of counter-measures—following industry best practices—to protect users from a common web-security issue known as "Cross-Site Request Forgery" (CSRF). Unfortunately, a browser misconfiguration may set off these protections and cause this error, preventing you from interacting with your own data. In particular, browser extensions intended to improve privacy have been known to inadvertently break CSRF protection on websites.
The following steps may help resolve this issue:

Upgrade your browser to the latest version, or switch to a different browser.

  1. Restart your browser and then visit https://benchling.com/signin directly.

  2. Use your browser's private-browsing mode, or disable browser extensions for benchling.com.

If the above steps do not work for you, please reach out to support@benchling.com for further assistance.
