Issue

A study that was deleted in In Vivo cannot be recovered. Once deleted, the study is permanently removed from In Vivo and cannot be restored or synced back to the original record.

Environment

In Vivo integrated with Bioresearch.

Cause

Deletion in In Vivo is permanent. Because the study no longer exists in In Vivo, it cannot be synced back into the original record. The integrated data in Bioresearch remains intact, but there is no mechanism to restore the deleted In Vivo study from it.

Resolution steps

To continue working on the study, create a new study in In Vivo using the information available in Bioresearch.

Step 1: Review the study details in Bioresearch
Open the study in Bioresearch and confirm the data you need to recreate the study in In Vivo, such as study metadata, linked records, and any relevant integrated information.

Step 2: Create a new study in In Vivo
In In Vivo, create a new study and enter the information from Bioresearch. Use the Bioresearch record as the reference for the new study structure and content.

Step 3: Verify the new study before syncing
Check that the new study contains the correct information before attempting any sync actions. Confirm that the new study is the one you want to maintain going forward.

Important: Do not unarchive the study from Bioresearch and attempt to sync it with the old study in In Vivo. This can cause sync issues and may overwrite data unexpectedly.
