Issue
I want to use an Entity created in Benchling Core as a Treatment in Benchling In Vivo, but I don't see my Entity in the 'Name' dropdown when creating a new Treatment.
Environment
In Vivo
Cause
To make Registered Custom Entities from Benchling Core available as Treatments in In Vivo, the Entity's Schema must first be added to the In Vivo Sync App in Benchling Core.
Resolution steps
1. Go to the Benchling Core Tenant that is linked to the relevant In Vivo Tenant.
2. Access the In Vivo Sync App Configurations: Go to the 'Connections' (folder sync) icon in the left sidebar, select the 'Apps' tab, then select 'In Vivo Sync'. Once on the In Vivo Sync App page, go to the 'Configurations' tab.
3. Locate the 'Treatment Schemas' section, near the bottom of the In Vivo Sync App Configurations Tab.
4. Select '+ Add Element', then select the Schema you'd like to add from the dropdown menu. After adding a Schema, you may select '+Add Element' again to add another Schema, and repeat as desired.
5. Click 'Submit' at the top of the Configurations tab to save your changes.
6. Open (or, if open, reload) the In Vivo Tenant. Entities of the Schema you just added should now be available in the Name dropdown menu when creating a new Treatment.
Notes:
- If you encounter permissions issues during this process, please reach out to an Org Admin or Tenant Admin to request that they make this update to the App for you. If you are a Tenant/Org Admin and you are encountering permissions issues, please reach out to support@benchling.com.
- Only Custom Entity Schemas may be added as Treatments - Other Schema Types, like DNA or RNA Sequences and Mixtures cannot be added to In Vivo as Treatments via In Vivo App Sync at this time.
