Issue
A user has completed all tasks in a flowchart schema, but the flowchart is still marked as 'Active' and not 'Complete'. All downstream tasks are completed, and the user is unable to mark the flowchart as completed.
Environment
Workflows Flowchart
Cause
The flowchart status is calculated to include archived tasks and tasks that have failed mappings.
To identify the archived tasks or failed mappings:
- Use the Global Search tool.
- Use Type as Workflow Task and All.
- Then add a Filter for Flowchart task group is one of and type in your specific Flowchart task group that is still active.
- Add a filter to show:
- Archived as All Archived or
- Failed Mappings
Resolution Steps
For Archived Tasks
If there are archived tasks in a state other than 'Complete', the flowchart will be considered still 'Active'. To resolve this:
-
Unarchive the tasks that are archived.
-
Mark them as 'Invalid.'
-
Archive them again.
-
Ensure all other tasks are in a 'Completed' state and the flowchart status will update to 'Complete.'
Resolving Failed Mappings:
Tasks with failed mappings will display a red exclamation mark, even if they are marked 'Completed'. To resolve them:
- Click the exclamation mark to view the specific error that occurred.
- Use the Fix Failed Mapping button to resolve each mapping error.
- Note: this action cannot be done in bulk and must be performed for each failed task.
- In cases where there are many failed mappings, this may require significant manual effort.
