After creating a feature library in Benchling, you can auto-annotate your sequences based on the information stored in the feature libraries.

Auto-annotate sequences

1. Open the annotation panel by clicking the Annotation icon on the top right of the screen.

2. Click the Auto Annotate button.

3. Select which feature library you want to annotate your sequences from or click the Search all libraries button if you want to annotate from all of your feature libraries.

4. Select the annotations you want, and click the Add Annotations button. You should now see several annotations added to your sequence.

Note: You can use annotations from an existing sequence. Benchling will search for annotations in the sequence you enter and mark them in the sequence you are annotating.

Next, learn how to annotate sequences in bulk from a feature library.
