How do I export my protein alignment?

Instead of trying to fit everything into a screenshot, our export to tools make it easy to export your alignment as a FASTA, .png, or PDF file and insert it directly into your presentations.

To do so, navigate to the upper right hand corner of the alignment tool bar and click the export icon:

Choose between FASTA, .png, or PDF.

If the protein alignment is exported as a .png, a preview of the image will appear in a pop up window prior to download. The image will be a full screen capture of what you see in the alignment.

If the protein alignment is exported as a PDF, it will generate a paginated PDF that is optimal for publications, patents, and regulatory filings. From the pop up window, you can select the number of amino acids per line and turn on highlighting for conserved vs. non-conserved amino acids.
