When you are working within your Benchling projects, organization can be very key for finding the data available to you. Once you’ve structured your Projects, being able to navigate across different Projects is a critical portion of how your team will use Benchling.
As a reminder, Benchling will only show you the projects that you have access to.
Searching for a Project
Use a keyword to search for a particular project:
Filter your Project List
Benchling has a variety of filters to help narrow down your project list view. Each option will be customized to you and will show you a narrowed down list of your full Projects that you have access to.
-
All Projects - All Projects available to you
-
My projects - All Projects owned by you
-
Shared with me - All Projects where you are added as an individual collaborator
-
Team(s) filter - All Projects shared with you because of the team(s) you are in
-
Organization Filter - All Projects shared with you because of the Organization you are in
There are also additional filters to help narrow down the list that’s generated after selecting the above option:
-
All active - All Projects that haven’t been hidden/archived
-
Starred - Only Projects that have been starred for you
-
Hidden - Only Projects that have have been hidden for you
-
Archived - Only projects that have been archived
Sort/Navigate your Project List
Click on the Project sorting tool to change the display sorting for your Project Listing.
You can also change the number of results per page to improve search performance. If your list of Projects begins to grow, Benchling will help make that selection much easier to scroll through. Benchling will display 25 projects per window as a default but you can easily change that by adjusting the “Results per Page” option.
To advance to the next page of Projects, click on the “Show Next” at the bottom of the page or expand the search and click the “>” arrow:
