This article only applies to matrix plates. Fixed plates are created with containers in place. If you're using fixed plates, visit Create plates and fill wells.
Bulk Create Containers via Box / Plate page

Navigate to the box or plate that you wish to use

Select the slots / wells that you wish to create a container or well in

Select “Actions” > "Create Containers"

Select the container schema you wish to create

Add contents to the container as desired
Note: Filled containers will appear as green circles on the box page, whereas empty containers will appear white.
Filling existing containers from the Box / Plate page

Select your containers in your box and click "Fill Containers"

Choose the entity that you would like to fill the container with
