Printing labels

You can print labels for items in your tenant by uploading ZPL (Zebra Programming Language) label template code into Benchling or through our BarTender integration. After configuring your printer setup and creating label templates, you can print from tables in notebook entries, container details pages, and search results.

Print labels

To print labels for individual items or items in bulk:

  1. Navigate to the item you want to print labels for. To print labels for multiple items, select each item from a list view, like the Project tab, registry search, or a worklist.

  2. Click the Print icon:

    1. If you’re on the container details page, the icon displays next to the barcode.

    2. If you’re printing multiple items, the icon displays in the top-right corner.

  3. In the print modal, select the Label Template, Printer from the drop-down menus.

  4. Enter the number of copies.

  5. Click Print. If you’re printing with BarTender, don’t close the browser window until all labels have printed, as your web browser must communicate with BarTender during the entire printing process.
