There are two methods for connecting analyses with notebook entries.
Embedding charts in entries
You can embed charts and tables directly in notebook entries. To begin, click Create Outputs at the top right corner of an analysis.
- Select the items you wish to embed.
- A dropdown will appear at the right to let you pick how you would like to save each item.
- Select As chart
- Select the notebook entry you wish to send the items to. Search for it by name in the Entry box.
- In order to embed these items, you'll need to create one or more new Sections in the entry.
- Create as many sections as you like with the + Add Section button. Click the six dot
icon to drag and drop the items to be embedded into the sections you prefer.
- Create as many sections as you like with the + Add Section button. Click the six dot
- Click Create Outputs
The charts and tables you selected are now in the notebook entry! Once this is done, the data sources and analysis steps that lead to the creation of the items you embedded will be locked, preventing them from changing and differing from what is embedded in the notebook.
Linking with @ mention
While editing a notebook entry, you can @ mention an Analysis. Type "@" to bring up the search and begin typing the name of an analysis. Click on it to create the tag.
Once this is done, the newly created link will be shown in the Outputs section in the left sidebar of the associated analysis with a timestamp. This allows traceability of when Analyses are linked to notebook entries.
