Instrument types expected to connect with Benchling studies for day to day measurements and observations:

Types of connection:
There are typically 3 types of connection that exist for these types of devices and they are:
- Write to field / Keyboard Mode / Keystroke input - these work with no configuration
- Configuration required device must be registered under integrations by an administrator
- Older products that cannot be connected or configured

DIGITAL CALIPERS (for other suppliers look for the term Bluetooth connectivity for best fit):
Some keyboards (ie French require conversion to US format to work with Write to Field Callipers) this can be done with a keyboard shortcut - ALT + SHIFT on a PC. American keyboard layout (or similar) needs to be previously set up in your windows settings (more info here)
Once you have completed measurement please remember to return the keyboard to French format using the same shortcut - ALT + SHIFT.
