Add New Devices

The connected devices feature allows your organisation to register as many devices as needed so that the user can map devices to fields in their study to ensure data from a device is saved onto the correct field. This has been built for Lab devices with a USB interface, however, we can support serial (RS232) older devices if needed. Please read above for RS232 limitations. This feature is incompatible with LAN or Bluetooth connections. Bluetooth devices that write directly to the cursor position can be used but these cannot be mapped to specific fields.

Adding devices

When setting up new devices ensure the device is connected to the computer and click "auto detect" this will detect the connected device and once selected will populate the relevant fields in the form for you if this information is available. If no information is populated go through the following steps to manually configure the fields below to finish registering the device.

If you cannot find this information in the device user manual or supporting documents please contact the vendor to request this.
