More about this feature
Given Benchling’s focus on providing novel technology to support cutting-edge science, we’re excited to offer limited, beta access to protein structure prediction using AlphaFold 2. This beta feature will enable users to predict the structure of a given protein sequence and interact with that 3D structure directly in Benchling. Until now, the AlphaFold AI system has been largely inaccessible to scientists with limited computing resources. Benchling wants to test what’s possible when more scientists can access this technology and leverage it in their scientific workflows.
Joining the waitlist
To join the waitlist, navigate to any AA Sequence in Benchling and open the 3D Structure tab. If you are using our academic offering, your account must be associated with a verified email address from our current list of academic institutions.
Select Join the waitlist, and you’ll be prompted to fill out a short form with your role, field, and expected use case. This form helps us better understand how you want use this feature and the value it might provide to you. To complete signing up for the waitlist, submit the form by selecting Join the waitlist a second time.
We’ll send you an email as soon as you’ve been let off the waitlist.
Notes about the beta program
While we can’t guarantee beta access to all users who request it, we recommend you still join the waitlist if you would use this feature after its beta period. We value your interest and consider it important feedback.
Beta programs allow us to test new ideas quickly and develop impactful technology in partnership with our users. Please note that some of the tools we offer in beta may not be released broadly, based on user feedback. Throughout this program, we’d love to hear from you directly; don’t hesitate to share your feedback with us at firstname.lastname@example.org or via this form.
