Within your entry template, insert your results table.
Now that your result table is in your entry, you can start to add your equation(s). Click on the cell you wish to add an equation too. Use the built-in Benchling formulas to create your custom equations.
Note: You can combine equations as needed. For example, if you wanted to calculate the range you can write the equation =Max()-Min()
In this example, we want to take the average of the first 3 readings:
Once the equation and entry template is complete, you can now create a new entry from that template. The entry will already have the result table within the entry.
Next, you'll want to select which entity/batch you're going to map the result to. Click the "Plus" sign to add more rows, samples, or import from a spreadsheet.
Note: Adding samples will look through your entry for any registered entities within registration tables
Input the results and the equation will automatically calculate your data.
Once results have been inputted, they will be stored against the entity/batch and can be seen in the Results tab of the Registry.
