Because all Benchling applications are integrated with each other, you can search your data across the entire platform in one place. This article explains how to search your data globally and in individual applications. Use this article to:

Perform a search

You can find data in Benchling using global or application-specific searches. To search your data:

  1. Open a search.

    • Click the lens icon in the left-side menu to search across all applications.

    • Click an application’s icon in the left-side menu to search within one application.

  2. Enter your search term(s) in the search bar at the top of the left-side panel.

  3. Press Enter.

To expand the panel and view more information about your search, click the > icon in the top-right corner.

Tip: Narrow your search further using filters and saved searches.

Customize your dashboard

To customize how your search results display, click the toolbar icon by the search bar. You can choose how your results are sorted, their display density, and the number of results that display per page.
